Genuinely curious: what is the “retribution” people are afraid of?

eh fear is not always rational

if compared to not casting at all due to said fear, I think superanon is helpful in the sense that it increases conversation liquidity on the protocol 

downside being that had they posted from their own account, they would get the distribution themselves, hopefully they'll learn that over time
