i didn't find this all that gloomy (⌒_⌒;) it was cool to learn about hotglue. i'd never heard of it before. what parts did u mostly disagree with?

i think those are true of the superficial internet and that's how a lot of ppl engage with it (whether by conscious choice or not) 

i don't think the magic is gone. it just takes a bit more effort to dig and find the magic these days bc of all the noise but it's still there ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i think it's possible to be in awe of the internet but also acknowledge that parts of it are broken (⌒_⌒;) it's like having faith in humanity even though there is a lot of bad stuff in there too. writing an article to share about some obscure web tool that exists shows that the author still has some hope imo

Maybe I'm just a totally naive optimist, still full of wonder at how cool the Internet is. I can't seem to shake the feeling. I get why that might be a little weird, but there's still so much to discover. I guess that's what keeps me so excited.
