The vibes are worsening here lately.

I don’t mean the spammy newcomers. I’m talking about some of y’all. 🫵

Numbers we each value differently are rapidly going up. Social metrics, portfolio values, DAUs, etc.

It’s exciting but some of us are turning into the Twitter influencers we once vocally rejected.

i think this is what we were expecting and bracing for back when sign up went permissionless in october

thankfully it was a little delayed so channels could get to a better place to mitigate some of the effects and have a little oasis here and there to retain some q in qdau

yeah feels bad. whenever things get crazy like this i just hide out in channels more. tho maybe i'll have to use my low follow alt for a while with how noisy things are rn (๑>ᴗ<๑)

When permissionless came I expected spammers and outside opportunists joining to extract value from farcasters.

But I didn’t expect some core farcasters to start capitalizing on fomo so quickly at the sight of a thirsty audience.
