This is a huge issue and thanks for calling it out. I have seen huge names on this platform grossly underpay professionals. You’d be shocked how many people expect people w decades of experience to work for free bc they have a large audience. Ive stopped referring ppl in the space bc of it. And I say NO. Alot.

I can imagine how much work it must be to work with them, I've worked with people in crypto where hardly anyone knows what's going on. That's not really an excuse not to pay *something* especially when sponsors are involved. Even so, the way they are being used as a building in public ploy isn't acceptable in all cases

Keep in mind some are doing it for school credit and it’s honestly A LOT of work to work with them. (many times I question if it’s worth it having worked with a ton over the years as faculty advisor & biz owner—often easier to do yourself than to try to delegate.) And often there are stipends.

I don't have any idea what specifics are involved here (and don't need to). But I do know that default expectations of unpaid and underpaid labor are a problem in web3.
