i'm listening to the lex x jared kushner podcast on the flight from chicago to tokyo and hmmm... some thoughts. firstly, idk if this is true for others, but the picture i was given was that this guy is an idiot and did nothing. reality seems opposite actually listening to him. for all the comic relief that trump and his policymakers make for the world, I'm not saying I'm on that side at alllllll but at the same time what we've had for the past 4 years has been total shit too. it's no wonder so many people wanted a change, it makes sense they wanted change.

I think this is actually the real danger of being too close to Trump. His image and his personality are so big that you are immediately diminished by him and seem like little more than a bit player.

I wonder if that was all planned or just coincidence?

It depends on the person. Big personalities - from Scaramucci to Guiliani - have flocked to him wanting to share the glory and attention and wound up being perceived as supporting cast. I don’t think that’s what their egos desired. With Kushner I think there’s certainly an argument that he has never wanted to be in the spotlight.
