Excellent piece. I applaud your decision. Iβve been lost for a while, struggling to connect my passion for technology that distributes power and enables borderless coordination with my distaste for the way peers in this space salivate openly over the ever-increasing power of the rich. Itβs bizarre and antithetical to the stated goals of crypto. And that seems so obvious to folks like I us I guess who are here for the right reason, but, alas, weβre outnumbered. I look forward to seeing what you get up to in the future. I know youβre making the right choice for you. I will try to remain optimistic that this admistrationβs actions will be the catalyst for many to jump ship on Ayn Randism once and for all. Whichever approach is right, I wish you well. π

I enjoyedyour writing and appreciate the points highlighted. I feel burnt out in the space and confused by legitimized farmers/extractors who go unchecked for actions that are unnecessarily zero sum. More people are speaking out and you all empower others to do the same. Thank you! Interested in hearing more about "soft power."

Excellent read, Riley. Really sorry to hear about what you went through. Ethereum needs good culture media so badly, but without sustainable funding and non-extractive economic models, the same types of issues will keep cropping up over and over. I hate how this industry chews up so many good people and spits them out. This is right on target: "When good people and real businesses not meant to dump liquidity on friends go unfunded or underfunded while the casino spits another flame from hell, you know weβve gone too far." Yes. There's a lot of high-minded talk about getting creators paid, but unfortunately the majority of the space continues to reward extractive behavior. Anyway, thanks for being one of the good ones. I hope I'll still see you on FC. π
