once at my lowest, someone i loved a lot said about me "who would have thought somebody that's like so happy and cheery on the outside and so sweet could have such a fucked up constitution?" and you know what i still think about it and it makes me really grateful for the friends i'm with and where we are today

ironically, it's in the most vulnerable moments that people can violate safety most readily. they may not have known what to do in such a tender space. they may have seen a part of themselves in you that scared them. so they looked to create distance. people will tell you who they are, all you have to do is listen.
