Yes I see that. Unfortunately, it's unnatural. And this sets the stage for other aspects of our life like dating/relationships using virtual reality, etc.

I think they want other people to eat more plants, and they see making them taste like something familiar as a more realistic path to achieving that outcome?

Do you still think vegans stop eating meat because they don't like meat?

They don't want animal suffering or exploitation. Anything that decreases those things they would be for.
