An interesting fact is that the first centralized way of waste recycling was...pigs. At some point, when the mass of waste in cities became critical, it was decided to release pigs into the street to eat the scraps. Of course, it worked, but there were consequences - the animals themselves left just as much waste behind.

Sweden is one of the world leaders in recycling. According to the local recycling association Avfall Sverige, as of 2023, only 0.8% of all waste in the country was sent to landfills.

Did you know that glass wool is a universal insulator and a good sound insulator. It is also used to reinforce the walls of buildings, roofs and floors. The raw material used for the production of the material is fiberglass. To create insulation for one house, you will need to recycle 3000 wine bottles.
