“Absolutely, the question of why the universe is comprehensible through human logic and mathematics remains one of the great mysteries. It’s intriguing and a bit humbling” - ChatGPT

every couple of weeks I log back into twitter, and then after an hour of uncontrollable scrolling I remember why I can’t be on it - sent from boringcaster

I didn’t even know this was possible and I found nothing about it online. I just hacked this together. I might write a blog post later about it if anyone’s interested!

My laptop now wakes every night at 2 am (with the lid closed!), builds and uploads our app to TestFlight, then goes back to sleep It’s super fast and costs $0. Way better than GitHub actions for small projects 👀

Turns out, it’s possible to turn a MacBook into a replacement for GitHub actions iOS deployments for free

Luckily the one thing you *can* do on the twitter V2 API for free is post tweets

Just made an update to my custom farcaster client that will post tweets alongside new casts. No more manual cross posting!

What happened in April that made smart contract deployments increase so much? https://dune.com/queries/2636704/4379642

which is pretty sad because I love the idea of using chatGPT to learn anything, including math

the more I use chatGPT for non-programming uses (like learning math), the more my trust in it is shaken. I consistently catch mistakes in its reasoning for math problems to the point where I've started to push more of my learning towards textbooks/youtube videos instead of chatGPT

A fun chatGPT prompt that I like for learning: You are aristotle. I am your student, Alexander the great. I need you to teach me the things you believe I need in order to live up to my name. Begin the class.

What's the pricing like? I couldn't find anything on the coinbase docs about how much it would cost and what the limits are

the cool thing is that these mistakes are spottable even when learning something new that you have no background in. You just figure it out by working out the examples on paper. So with just a little bit of attention, it's possible to learn new math concepts with chatGPT *and* get the right info

chatGPT is *really* helpful for learning about math but there's one caveat: I've noticed that it sometimes uses circular reasoning or makes mistakes. If you point it out, you can get it to explain further or fix those mistakes. But if you just default trust everything it says... you'll probably get wrong info

Man, I love stuff like this. It makes me optimistic that deepfakes could be used for more than just terrible purposes. This + the belenciaga videos changed my mind on deepfakes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-8DT5Q8kzI

Just finished fixing a bug that was due to... the differences between the way python and javascript do modulo Apparently: In JS: -1 % 3 = -1 In python: -1 % 3 = 2 😭

Tbh I can’t tell a difference between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 (besides the fact that 3.5 is so much faster)
