I like a platform where the owners don't jump in to personally insult and demean users. I like a platform where people want to learn not burn. I'm here on Farcaster open-hearted not close-minded and I thank you all for being my teachers and peers.

challenge with misinfo/disinfo: if people want to believe the story, fact-checking won't help. Stories don't need to BE true, they need to FEEL true enough.

Maybe a Metaverse trying to be a Neuromancer-ed "faster horse" slogging through billions of dollars of capital on the way toward GPU-smoking full-rendered fantasies (or crap office meetings) is actually an evolutionary dead end? "Remember when my disembodied torso got LEGS and that was awesome?" said no-one, ever.

might current Metaverse visions be too focused on vision? What might the Metaverse SOUND like? FEEL like? What other senses might be activated to participate? What Metaverse experiences might emerge from unexpected sensorial combinations? Could connected lenses and a neuro-stimulator beat a full body haptic rig?

So...Metaverse. Blah blah Neuromancer. Matthew Ball's Metaverse definition starts "A massively scaled and interoperable network of real-time rendered 3D virtual worlds...". I'm all about science fiction prototyping and using stories to imagine new worlds into reality, but have we picked the right horse to bet on?
