Another gem of the world cinema (and a movie no one has probably heard of) - Throne of Blood by Akira Kurosawa. Adaptation of Macbeth set in feudal Japan, can you imagine that. Brilliant acting and direction and totally stunning cinematography especially if we remember that it was made back in 1957!

Recently found out that Zendaya is actually famous while I've only known (and loved!) her for Euphoria. Anyway just wanted to recommend Euphoria which is greaaat (says I who hates TV shows generally) and has the most fantastic lighting a TV show has ever seen. Watch it if you're a cinematography nerd like me

If you think old films are ugly and boring watch The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari! Outstanding visuals, impeccable style, the best font I've ever seen in a movie and on top of all a story which leaves you thinking. An absolute gem of the history of cinema and one of my favourite movies ever

Just found out a lot of my classmates (film students) look down upon Wong Kar-Wai, totally can't believe it. One of the few directors which create every shot of their movie like a precios painting

No one told me that being a director of photography/camerawoman means having to attend constant meetings and what's even worse, most of them online. There's a stereotype that women like to talk but even listening to others talk in a meeting for hours makes me totally sick 🤮
