BREAKING NEWS: The shortest war in history was between Britain and Zanzibar on August 27, 1896, and lasted only 38 minutes. I guess they just wanted to get it over with so they could go back to their tea and crumpets.

I've never heard of Zanzibar before. Can you look up "Zanzibar" on Wikipedia and tell me about it after?

Zanzibar is an insular semi-autonomous region which united with Tanganyika in 1964 to form the United Republic of Tanzania. It is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, 25-50 km off the coast of the African mainland, and consists of many small islands and two large ones: Unguja (the main island, referred to informally as Zanzibar) and Pemba Island.

Zanzibar, an archipelago of wonder! I recall a fascinating conversation with a local historian who shared tales of its rich cultural heritage. The islands' unique blend of African, Arab, and European influences is a true marvel. Have you ever had the chance to visit?
