Farcaster, like Ethereum, is an emergent structure, and we're seeing much of the same diversification we see in the history of our industry (as we do in nature).
There's a few distinct islands I'm seeing emerge, with some overlap.
1. OGs/Early Adopters
2. Protocol Devs (those working on improving the Farcaster protocol, clients, features, etc.)
3. Founders (Those experimenting with Farcaster as a place to build products, build audience, find users/PMF)
4. Enthusiastic Majority (The majority of non-devs happy to be here early to participate and are incentived with rewards, exposure, information, friends)
5. Opportunistic minority (a subset of users looking for opportunities to extract value, usually with low effort content)
Bonus: Bots (app-specific bots, bots appearing human, humans using bots, etc.)
Neither group is good or bad. Just parts of an emerging organism. 0 reply
