Pardon me if I'm not being subtweeted here lol.. But even if not, here's something to consider:
If someone says "if you don't support palestinian liberation in <xyz way>, you're a genocidaire", that's clearly virtue signaling.
If someone says "me and thousands of people like me have been mistreated for years, it's well-documented and people with the power to change things, like you, do nothing despite constant outcry and hard evidence", that's self-advocacy.
If someone is advocating for their coworkers, who toil and suffer for months on end doing vital work for no pay, that's solidarity. Workers back each other up because 1.) nobody else will and 2.) people advocating for themselves often take on outsized risk.
*IF* you use your outsized social capital to demonize self-advocates and solidaristic agitators as "virtue signallers", you're engaging in class violence.
Web3 laborers haven't made power gains in years, and a lot of that is due to rhetoric like this. Please try supporting us instead. 0 reply
