My Telegram was tied to an old phone number I hadn’t used in over 4 years. I never updated it, didn’t enable 2FA, and assumed being logged in across devices was enough to stay safe. I was wrong.

Had the same thing happen but for Electrum wallet for BTC - had the seeds, had the password on old phone. Never did 2FA for it. Luckily I did not lose the old phone. Just replaced it. Had to install everything again and do it from there. Seeds are not enough. Go figure.
