With celebrities, it's... weird. 

That mofo, what's his name, who beat up Rihanna to a pulp? Within months, you could see signs "you can beat me up all you want" (or sth to that extent) on his concerts. Held by chicks. Makes no sense. 

That female rapper, what's her face, that admitted to drugging, raping and stealing money from her partners/victims? Absolutely no repercussions.

A lot of these things start with good intentions then pride and greed take over. I believe Elizabeth Holmes really wanted to revolutionize the blood testing industry but when it became clear it wasn't going to work she was in denial until it was too late.
