IMO, blockchain, DAO.. such ideas would take another mil yrs to be adopted by the govt. 

for a country like India, for now, EVMs are the only viable option as paper voting would be too lengthy a process. 

you ar rite abt tampering; centralized authority could manipulate anything..

The only EVM we talk about here is the Ethereum Virtual Machine 😅

Both options have their pros and cons. Electronic voting has possible tampering risks. Wrt to ballot papers being slow, if you have a good infrastructure to support the election process it's not an issue. Most elections results in Europe for example are given within a few hours of voting ending.

What we need is blockchain based private voting. It's tamper proof and voters can verify who their vote went to ✌️
