~32 yrs old: Cultural Critics / Writers
Now: BizOps / Product Makers

There’s definitely a rough path tho, a potential arc, where I’m tending towards what I consider “the true maker” of the physical systems we inhabit.

Today, I think the “Operator” of an organization, or the “Craftsperson” of a product is at the center. But I suspect this will shift soon towards construction workers / public utilities planners and builders / homemakers.

One general observation is that the target of my admiration shifts in roughly 5-year cycles. 

It also foreshadows my own career changes, as I seek to become that which I admire.

In general, as I get closer and closer to the people I admire, I get to know the details. The shine tends to dull as you near the source.
