Is there a specific question you’re looking for? There’s a community called Trust that @mishaderidder.eth and myself are part of that probably has a local expert connection.

By social algos you mean like how the feed works across different platforms? Including discovery on Google, or specifically like Twitter / FC / Bluesky / Facebook? The first thing to know though, regarding the latter, is that most are thousands of small settings that no one quite knows how they work. But they get tweaked to test if KPIs go up

The only “simple” one is actually TikTok — where they had only one KPI (time watching videos) and the feed basically automatically adjusted to max that out.

yea exactly! how feeds, discovery, categorization, and things like weighting works stems from a curiosity on qualitative v quantitative. your kpi for tiktok a perfect example trying to figure out if anything has been written on synthesizing humanities x code logic re: social algorithms
