I have some very light memories around learning to write as a child, and how I felt like I was unlocking a world. Similar feelings now, like when I was learning to program at uni as well, or getting my first toolbox. Like my hands could shape a world that was previously out of reach.

If the conversation shifted more toward augmentation rather than automation we might have much more civilised discourse around it.
