My main question heading into Season 2: > how old is the procedure to get severed? Like is every severed worker at Lumon Industries the first to do it? Or are we several decades in? It doesn't feel like Lumon totally understands the effects of the procedures longterm on people?

Probably a decade or two Irl, severing various parts of the brain is not uncommon at all - that’s how some of the left/right brain studies are conducted
