Home Depot has this monthly kids workshop thing where they give kids free tools and raw materials to build stuff. Preparing them to become Home Depot customers in 10-20 years. Really playing the long game in the user acquisition department.

IMHO it’s as effective immediately: parents entertain their kids while shopping for their next project. They know what a visit to Home Depot competes with and target that competition (entertaining kids in this case).

Wow! It's very exciting entertainment for kids. I have never been in US, so couldn't see this before. I remember only the Leroy Merlin 5 years ago in RU with the kindergarden room.
