Can't find the article or post where I saw it, but this is a great opportunity for public libraries to have dedicated social spaces and/or after hours setups for social. Alternatively, something like Switchyards meets old-school Elks Clubs or something. https://switchyards.com

The struggle is real. Hit them hard when I was in London and Paris and have done an online order about every two months. The sizing is weird and erratic though, so would much prefer an ATX brick and mortar.

When we moved here from NYC, we rented a year and spent almost every weekend brunching and touring different areas around Austin until we found the right area/school/house fit. Depending on your situation, might be worth getting boots on the ground and feel out the areas first before buying. HtH.

I'm in SW Austin and Dripping Springs IISD. Great schools, country-burb vibe, but close to downtown. AISD is terrible. Avoid. Round Rock/Gtown: Great schools, but IMHO lame vibe. Apple and Dell are up there. SE Austin is blowing up from Tesla: Taylor, Manor, Bastrop might be worth a look depending on commute.
