Any help appreciated on this. What areas are good to look into for a move to Austin? Planning on settling down, good schools and vibe. Decent houses. We like Leander/Cedar Park and West Lake Hills. Open to all ideas!

When we moved here from NYC, we rented a year and spent almost every weekend brunching and touring different areas around Austin until we found the right area/school/house fit.

Depending on your situation, might be worth getting boots on the ground and feel out the areas first before buying.

These are so helpful. Opened up a new way of looking at it. I started looking into Bastrop and the East Austin area as well this morning after your advice and lots of growth there as well. Work for me is at any hospital and also do travel work. Will take the advice and rent for a year then explore. Thank you so much!
