I have sourcers who have early convos are clear out stuff like location, startup vs big co mentality and resume. Then I do a screen which is a gut check where I ask behavioral questions and I always throw in a “what’s your thoughts on AI and what tools do you use?”

What I do is a _little_ manual but not too bad. 1. Open a psql shell 2. Run \d (list all tables) 3. For each table run \d table_name 4. Copy everything from top to bottom, and feed it into the LLM as context. Will build perfect queries

I'm interviewing engineers. The amount of them who say "I don't use AI in my workflow", or "I tried copilot and it wasn't good so i don't use it" blows my mind. We are so early. If you're a dev, *use AI*.
