App request: farchiver Casts only last for 1 year by default in hubs. This is good generally, but as a user I probably would like to curate some of my (and others?) casts and mark them as persistent and backed up. Open-minded about the interface (could be a built-in button in a client, a bot, a dedicated app).

Why not just archive all casts? And make the searchable and filterable? Less decision on the user.

After Quilibrium goes live I’m going to run a perpetual hub with no pruning on it. Same API, will peer but not send back items that should be pruned

+1 I’m d basically like a light pseudo-hub I can run on my laptop or phone with default saving policies like: all my own casts and replies thereof, and anything I reply to 2 degrees up etc

+1 on this. Big fan of archiving my data. Lost a lot of my early digital work because that wasn’t always the case. 🙃
