Launch day! πŸš€βœ¨ Alright, two years ago (for those of you who were here in 2022), I started working on a PFP collection with @stelladore. The goal was simple: make PFPs that look really dope. It took us a long time, but the collection is finally live and minting now! More details below πŸ‘‡

We spent 100s of hours (so much time I can't even describe) building an engine that allowed us to apply rules to make sure each character makes sense and has iconic good looks. Some more details: * Metadata lives on IPFS * ERC721 on Ethereum (I'm a purist, sorry L2s) * 0.025 to mint * 8,888 characters * Some secrets!

Man these look great! Can def see the mass appeal. I am curious on the L1 decision, if you being an OG colors your perspective on Ethereum txns. No shade but to me, L1 mints are old guard. Unless you expect to sell for $M’s, it’ll just sit in a wallet, maybe a few will use it. More will enjoy the art on L2.

When we started this (in 2022) there wasn't an L2 I liked. In 2024 I would maybe consider base, but it is too late. I'm also a purist. I think ethereum will outlive all corporations, and therefore all L2s. I like thinking that these will last forever.

Fair, the L2 have def matured in a very short time. That is a very cool sentiment indeed. Maybe that’s where we differ, re purity. If your L2 rolls up once to ETH do you not have the same longevity as if it was deployed on L1? In that, all data is recoverable via an archive node.
