I have a hard time taking third party voters seriously, because 1. the reality of the situation is we get stuck with less liked candidate (see video) and 2. ive spoken to many who didn't even try to help If we were able to get RCV passed in NYC, anyone can do it. https://warpcast.com/heytrip.eth/0x1125a651

My biggest issue with ranked choice voting, is most people I see advocating it also advocate for jungle primaries, and jungle primaries are inefficient af. Not necessarily against rcv but I think people tend to make it this end all be all which it isn't if the candidates are still bad, plus I don't like the whole endorsing of the best of a bad bunch of picks mentality that dominates American elections currently which I feel rcv does

absolutely agree. also dont think its the be all end all. the linked video goes into that as well. i dont think anythings perfect but we can def do better the longer goal is hoping american politics attracts normal humans and not only sociopaths :)

I'll have to check it out at some point, lmfao I'm currently bitter at rcv and esspecially jungle primaries though so I'm esspecially biased. Lmfao louisianas current govenor only received about 18% of the stares eligible votes and didn't even need to face a state runoff election because of how stupid our primaries are, shit like that worries me when I see people cheering jungle primaries
