Watched the first episode of Rings of Power, and found myself waiting for it to finish so I could go to sleep. It's absurd that so much money and time can be spent on a roll of the dice. If we really can't cracked the code, I am sure that AI can tell us if a script/episode sucks.

Writing + design by committee. Everything needs to get approved, no risks are taken, and the outcome is almost always bad. Most beautiful things are created by bold individuals with total ownership.

That's what makes just about everything distributed by A24 so good, focusing on distribution while working with projects/directors that have a clear vision and their own story to tell.
