very much a skill issue. there’s about a dozen people in the world who can make a PWA that’s not awful. if they package it up in a react native webview you wouldn’t be able to tell

I think elk zone shows you that you can have a decent experience with a PWA and given how much less work it takes to have a PWA up and running vs putting together an app, it's worth it

but yeah ultimately most PWAs are shit

I feel like fundamentally Mastodon people do not understand the grind
