talking content with @jackwyldes.eth I always get very excited about the content opportunities in the space and it always brings to mind the fact that crypto really has no sustainable ecosystem for content creation & consumption not a single platform at present where content creators are being paid by users, listeners, fans for their work curious if anyone is writing about content in crypto? farcaster is probably the closest platform we have for this, after X and TikTok - where “KOL” types have monetized creating content about crypto…through buying and selling tokens (not as via their content)

Sponsors are still the best method of support but minting is another revenue stream (@pods @hypersub). “Creator tokens” or “content tokens” generally are a bit challenging—if you sell, you’re dumping on your supporters BUT fees help so that you don’t have to sell (or at least so that you can hold off & be selective when selling). But if you’re creating content for a (currently) niche audience, finding the right value aligned sponsors is key. Those who can appreciate the quality of the audience are important.

How much support has Gm Farcaster gotten from sponsorships to date? Excuse me if a personal question! Are you sponsors motivated by mission or impact? Ie are they just die hard fans, people giving back, or people looking for distribution? FWIW this post was not really coin related, just something I’m interested in

Actually, more support than I would've anticipated so early on -- which is very much appreciated! We have premier partners which are larger sponsors and then hypersub and CLP. And I'd say motivation is a mix - our first bit of support came from /purple and then Base (so giving back/support of ecosystem) others like Pinata, Matcha, Snickerdoodle, Lil Nouns (for premier) trying to reach a Farcaster native audience (distribution) and we've had smaller/new brands for more limited sponsorship too (like Bolide). Our hypersub is more our "fans" or rather community support, as well as some of the early CLPs. Ideally, our best fit for partners are looking to support and increase distribution to a Farcaster audience (new one we're announcing tomorrow is a great example of that). My goal is expand our network and have a multiple shows/podcasts/newsletters all touching the FC ecosystem and bring in network sponsors to support.
