for someone who yaps about her personal life publicly and privately a little too much, i’ve recently started to grow wary of doing it, bc i realized (finally!!) that talking about shit just amplifies your overthinking when all you need is to draw attention away from the situation and not let your thoughts or anyone else’s thoughts influence your actions. i love my friends so much but the yapping is going to a minimal level from here on out.

I found that yapping should be less about your internal insecurities. It just projects those thoughts and doubles down into your personality along with how you’re perceived. Those who are secure with themselves typically yap about anything and everything because they’re in the present and aren’t thinking constantly about their emotions. Those who take themselves seriously drown in misery while suffering becomes their shield
