Solana v Ethereum v BeamChain How do you process votes for consensus? Solana sends all votes directly to the leader. This is the worst use of bandwidth because user transactions are forced to compete directly with votes. Ethereum aggregates votes in randomly chosen committees, and posts the aggregated votes to the chain. This already saves a lot of bandwidth. BeamChain, the new proposal for Ethereum's consensus layer, uses ZK proofs for aggregation. This saves the most bandwidth, and at the same time allows for the most votes. Here's a comparison in one picture 👇
