One thing I realized recently: Restaking at the root level is fine (can be fully accounted for and secure), but restaking downstream (re-re-re-staking) is toxic (each layer introduces unaccounted opportunity for a failure cascade).

Ya... puts words to something in the back of my mind for awhile. It is cool tech, but lots of new complexity with tangly future effects. ETH is my gold, though, so I have a pretty low risk tolerance already.

It is because it is creating new value out of something that was simple and pure. It feels derivative-ish and rehypothecation-ish. My opinion is this bull market will explode because of some crazy defi garbage that involves leveraging restaking for outsized yield.
