I hate finishing a piece of artwork so much. I want to stay in the near-finished status forever. In those moments I'm roaming in a world created by myself where I'm 100% in control, it feels nice and powerful. Finishing it means leaving it forever, becoming worldless again.

Wow, you articulate that feeling so perfectly and clearly. I feel the same way about reading/writing/daydreaming and I think I understand what you mean.
