It’s been funny watching people argue against the banning of Tik Tok sharing the most disgusting, least funny, freak filled videos on Earth.

It has been clear to me for a while that over time the quality of posts and accounts actively on Twitter diminishes. People either give in to the masses and cease any meaningful posting or straight up quit.

There’s a comic I cannot find about the 4 stages of an online community. Started by a small tight nit group of high quality members, outsiders join in and the quality reduces because it normifies and it ends up turning into a circlejerk and the original people leave elsewhere.
