This is just my personal view, different people have different communities they feel a part of, if you feel at home in crypto - great, but kindly understand that I don't.

Appreciate you sharing these thoughts openly. I've been very selective on what I engage with in the space so I tend to intentionally miss all of this. There are many great people and initiatives in the space. We need to amplify that otherwise the promise of decentralization will remain in a dark corner of the web.

Sigh. It’s definitely the vibe - I tend to look at it from the lens of therapy and perpetuating certain behaviours instead of healing/outgrowing them. Crypto is just another space for said behaviours to replicate - the crux is in evolving out of them. The way we truly get from web2 to web3 is /therapy

In retrospect, it was inevitable. Masses never cared about decentralization, permissionlessness, pseudonymity, etc. They didn’t care about PGP in the 90s nor about giving away their privacy on Facebook in the 00s. 1

I appreciate your writing and effort in the space. You’re right about the cultural issues, and I don’t think we can change it by changing influencer narratives.
