Thank you, this was informative. I hadn't fully understood how the "equilibrium point" is determined before. One thing that still bothers me is the hypothetical-ness of the supply curve. I understand that's it's fundamentally unknowable, but I wonder whether we can make some assumptions about it to inform it better.

For example, shouldn't we assume that protocols locking up raw ETH will eventually switch to staking it "in the background" without users noticing? (Similar to what Blast is doing). Account abstraction also removes the need to hold unstaked ETH for gas, which means less stranded unstaked ETH in random wallets.
