How is the privacy on this? Like for example does any transaction data become publicly available to the blockchain or in metadata? Might someone leave a trail of where they had been such that those who watch their wallet and might want to rob or hard them could?

Thanks for asking this question. This is also what is preventing me from using Gnosis Pay. But looking at the blog post, Moonwell appears to work more like a prepaid debit card, where you have to pre-fund a custodial account by sending it USDC, and the balance of that account gets debited when using the card.

Interesting. So I guess Visa or whatever bank operates that account knows the onchain address the money comes from (and people onchain know which address the money goes to) but externally it should be hard to correlate. Does feel like it will inspire data breaches though, to dox onchain accounts
