Echoing this: Bluesky only supports *centralized* decentralized identifiers (did:web and did:plc). Yes you read that right. 🤨 🚩🚩🚩

They could have easily supported Web3 based dids (and still could yet!)...all they would have to do is run a single node on their already centralized AppView or heck just send a few bucks to Infura.

Yeah. I was reading that part like thinking "surely this is where ENS-style DIDs would shine" and surely the author is aware of this solution but then... doesn't mention it.
