I thought about this exact concept when reading Bitcoin Billionaires because there was a part in there where the Winklevoss twins are going to banks all over the United States to put parts of their private key into safety deposit boxes.

You could make such a cool heist movie where somebody has to assemble a sharded private key and the shards are hidden all over the world, in a Tibetan monastery, with indigenous people in the Amazon, in a cave in Mexico, etc. And the protagonist fails to collect some but in the end it's Ok, because it's 5/7 multisig.

I guess at least Hollywood is kind of trying? 🤷
