I was all in on Railway, but I've had way too many frustrations with it. Things that SHOULD just work often don't and debugging is hard since you don't have access to the shell console for the server (which originally I thought was a great thing). I've moved as much of my backend code to Cloudflare workers and if I need long-running processes, I'm back on Digital Ocean.

What do you use for DevOps? Ansible or terraform?

For my own projects? Nothing. Pinata uses Terraform and Ansible depending on the environment and functionality.

So you handle everything by hand? I'm not going to lie, I do the same for my personal projects and then I regret it 😁

I mean, it's either Cloudflare workers or a DO server. It's not complicated in my case.

I need to check out closer workers because everyone is talking about them. Are they cheaper than other solutions?
