Lotta words to say that “Silicon Valley philosophy” (never defined) is wrong because markets should be constrained by the state plus Obama’s “you didn’t build that.” 

What is the alternative vision? Just a vague call for more government … because author doesn’t like Thiel et al

Before I read the article I will say this. Ulbricht was justly imprisoned for his crimes and he should stay in prison.

i like the network state concept or idea. the network state in realpolitik terms is almost like someone writing the setup for a villainous corporate cyberpunk state

This was a great read. Also I find that  the people all on about exiting tend to be some of the most privileged in society. It's probably also why i'm not that hyped by the network state. It seems to be for the select few, not really (for now) for the people who might actually need it the most. 

Can't have freedom without people being different, and having differing views. Might as well make the most of it by engaging in civilized discourse around them.
