I am always amazed when Hollywood repeats that mistake. Script is one of the cheapest elements of the movie, and - at the same time - one of the most impactful ones. Even I - as a total amateur - can spot schoolboy errors in $100M+ productions' scripts, so why can't they?

I think this is especially true of characters that fans know, that they have grown up with... that they want to be for Christ's sake. Not sure the same holds so true for new IP.

DC has made a lot of blunders while MCU kept building strong storyline. They made decisions in the fear of losing to marvel, imo, and that back fired. They could have instead focused on building characters & their story, following long term vision. Unfortunate.
