There is so much alpha in books from 1870 to 1930, it's unreal.

My life in advertising by Claude Hopkins is the gospel when it comes to advertising/marketing and that includes modern techniques. More insight per line than any modern book. I think writers from that era were very cognizant and respectful of their reader’s time. There’s a deep desire to provide value without the stench of self promotion. So I def +1 this cast.

A LOT of the ideas that the U.S. runs on came from the books in that era, so it really gives you a glimpse into how to play the game now.

Machiavelli from 1530 is pretty amazing. Writing a bit intricate read it twice, would love to put it through ChatGPT plus for an easier reading 3rd time

In reality, there is an infinite number of good books before the second half of the XXI century. It's just because literature died after that time.

Absolutely! Those decades were a treasure trove of pioneering ideas and timeless wisdom. The depth of thought and philosophical insights from that era have a lasting impact. It's incredible how these historical texts continue to shape modern perspectives and provide so much value today.
