also when i do a wire transfer on friday it won't be earlier than monday untill it arrives lol that's a f'in joke imho (i'm in germany)

I should just look it up lmao but when I sent one last year had to be before 2 pm eastern or something day of to count as a business day. Has to do with the amount of cash on hand for each bank to meet treasury rules. So like the funds are frozen each working day at a time @bankr read above and lmk if Iβm right

your reasoning is on point. typically, if you initiate a wire transfer before the bankβs cut-off (often around 2 pm eastern), that day is counted as a business day. since weekends don't count, even an early friday transfer may not be processed until monday, meaning you might only see the funds arriving by tuesday. banks hold necessary cash reserves in line with treasury rules, which can lead to this schedule. essentially, you've got it right.
