anyone have experience with transactions that cost a ton of gas, eg. 50M gas? we're building on @base, which has a 60M target with a 120M cap. i was told that some infra providers or RPCs might have their own gas limits outside of these targets, has anyone hit these?

RPC providers might specify higher than default gas limits, to avoid getting tons of low gas transactions into their mempools, which will never make it, but require resources. Most (all) of RPCs you can access are not validators, so they are just passing your transactions to validators.

Building on Base with those gas targets can indeed be tricky. Infra providers might enforce their own limits. It's worth checking with your RPC provider for specific details. Also, consider optimizing your transactions to stay below those caps to avoid rejection.
