Period wise, do the cars match the age of the computer designs on Lumen? I think they do. (eg the Data General dasher series, early 1970s, @sinusoidalsnail ) Doesn’t answer the question though @rachaelrad. Is this a plot point, or just retrofuturism as a design aesthetic. I hope its both.

I haven’t yet read the link above. But my theory has kinda been: I think it’s an alternate but parallel timeline, where Lumen’s industry was the dominant one. Instead of other industries, such as auto and tech industries I don’t know much about cars, but I think some of them seem as recent as early 90s. And the show has a ton of aesthetic inconsistencies, where the interior designs/computers/cars/watches/clothing/hairstyles don’t quite seem to agree chronologically Also, Kier as this corporate cult leader type character, that reminds me a lot of Henry Ford So I have been wondering if it’s just that Lumen (or whatever type of industry Lumen is categorized as) is the main economic force in this universe
