EIP-7251 is coming to Ethereum. Which means more rewards and more limits for Ethereum staking. After EIP-7251, validators will be able to increase the staked ETH from an effective balance of 32 ETH today to a maximum effective balance (MaxEB) of 2048 ETH, simplifying management and boosting rewards. There are plenty of benefits to consider for institutional stakers, and some core considerations on risks and impact being debated right now. EIP-7251 will be included in the Ethereum Pectra upgrade slated for Q1 2025. Pier Two have you covered on the details. Check out our latest article here: https://piertwo.com/insights/more-rewards-more-limits-eip-7251

Last week was a big week in Sydney, celebrating all things crypto for 2024. So many positive stories told. So many people celebrated. With a ton of momentum heading into a new year. The Blockies and Digital Economy Council of Australia (DECA) brought the industry together to recognise the achievements of many on Thursday night. We congratulate the winners and the nominees. Pier Two, MHC Digital and Circle kept the celebrations going and hosted the official After Party. Check out some of the fun pictures from the night.

Data availability. Underdeveloped, but not at rest. In our latest article we explore the evolution of data on the Internet, born during the Cold War era, and under constant attack today. https://piertwo.com/research/the-third-dimension-long-term-data-availability From public libraries, to the public Internet, to public blockchains. We have been trending towards data that respects confidentiality, and importantly remains immutable, unlocking data integrity. That does not immediately give us data availability. Or secure it over a long time horizon. The opportunity to address data availability on /ethereum is not underserved. To date, we've seen @celestia, /eigenlayer and Chainlink as prominent names. And there is a great deal more that can be done. We explore @covalent-hq, the Ethereum Wayback Machine, and the effort to archive all Ethereum data.

Lanternā€™s vision: To ensure that access to Ethereum is free, and globally available. In the latest article, "Lantern: A Light Client For Ethereum", we break it down. https://piertwo.com/blog/lantern-a-light-client-for-ethereum/ Lanternā€™s end game is to be widely distributed through both financial and real world supply-chains. Integrated into IoT networks, smart locks, crypto wallets, points of sale and more. We are excited to collaborate with developers and enterprises looking to harness the power of @ethereum for real-world applications. If you're interested in integrating Lantern to reduce RPC costs or exploring native light client support for Layer 2 solutions, we'd love to connect. The team will also be attending @devcon in Bangkok, meeting fellow Ethereum enthusiasts and discussing the future of light clients.
